A PSP Antenna Array Receiver for Joint Angle , Multipath and Data Estimation

چکیده

| A time-recursive algorithm for the joint estimation of angles of arrival (AOA), multipath channel coe cients, and digital data is developed. This algorithm, which is applicable to TDMA cellular and PCS systems, is based on the technique of Per-Survivor Processing (PSP). The PSP-based adaptive array processing algorithm uses per-survivor estimation of AOAs and channel coe cients embedded into a vector measurement Maximum Likelihood Sequence Detector. It is demonstrated through computer simulation that this algorithm can accurately and blindly estimate the AOA and amplitude of paths which occur at a separation of a fraction of the symbol interval and which outnumber the array elements.
